I find myself in a labyrinth. Although my life is chaos-ridden, full of technology, movement, rigid time—I am more aware of nature now—walking down the street I notice the orange-pink subtlety of an individual petal, the unique shape of a leaf, the sunlight smiling down, laughing from the trees. Even from the air conditioned comfort of my car—a sparrow, a tree limb, a particularly emotional shade of green. Perhaps that’s how I ended up here, at a crossroads in my life, so to speak. Trying to find my way. I want to connect with the Earth but it seems unlikely, constantly looking at it through a mediated space, full of self.
